Settlement Center holds ‘inner dialogue’ workshop

The Community Dispute Settlement Center (CDSC), a nonprofit mediation organization, hosted a community workshop on Wednesday, July 7 called “The Mediator’s Inner Dialogue”.  The workshop was led by John Kinyon and Ike Lasater from the Center for Nonviolent Communication.  The trainers emphasized the lessons drawn from “nonviolent communication,” helping mediators tune into their own internal thought processes to more effectively facilitate a mediation session with people in conflict.

Next retreat and program starting Oct, 2010 on USA West Coast (N. California)

On July 1, Ike and John held an hour long informational telecall to talk about their year immersion program. They have a 5-day retreat coming up on the USA West Coast (N. California) Oct 28 – Nov 2, which is also the start of the immersion program there. Other immersion programs are: USA East Coast (Northeast) and Midwest, and also Poland and Australia.
